My
name is Dr. Jason Kennedy and I
am pleased to welcome you to
Southeast Oral Surgery where you
will receive a combination of
superior patient care and
innovative procedures, which
have earned the Southeast Oral
Surgery practice a reputation of
excellence in the field in the
state of Tennessee.
I
am so pleased to be a member of
this contemporary team of
surgeons and to call East TN my
home. I am happily married and
have a three-year-old daughter
and two year old son. My journey
into oral surgery began at the
University of Louisville, where
I received a Doctorate of Dental
Education. I received the Oral
Surgery Excellence Award from
the Louisville School of
Dentistry. During this time, I
traveled to the Dominican
Republic three times with the
Christian Medical and Dental
Association to provide oral
health care for underprivileged
native citizens. I also provided
health care for inner city
indigent residents in
Louisville, Kentucky through
Touched Twice Ministries.
I
consider myself extremely lucky
to have completed residency at
the University of Tennessee, one
of the premier Oral
Maxillofacial teaching hospitals
in the United States. I am
qualified as an Advanced Trauma
Life Support Instructor. I am
certified in American Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric
Life Support, (PALS) and
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
While in residency, I was
involved in cutting edge
research with PET/CT Technology
and presented research findings
at the National Meeting of Oral
and Maxillofacial Surgeons in
San Diego, California.
