Benjamin Johnson, DDS

Meet Dr. Johnson

Hi! I am Dr. Ben Johnson and I look forward to meeting you and taking care of your needs. I am confident you will have a great experience at Southeast Oral Surgery. I’ve had the opportunity to work in numerous educational venues including Program Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine—Phoenix. I also proudly served 9-years in the United States Air Force where I was Chief of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Barksdale Airforce Base where I practiced and taught surgery in Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency.

My wife, April and I, are originally from Texas. We moved to Knoxville after I joined the team at Southeast Oral Surgery—which I feel so fortunate to be a part of—and have been blessed with three children. We look forward to raising our family in East Tennessee and giving back to the local community.

Training and Passion:

My passion is corrective jaw surgery and I really enjoy dental implant surgery. Office based anesthesia is a strong area of interest for me and I consider myself a lifelong learner. I bring a vast background of training from my time as a faculty member in multiple training locations and the incredible training I received through the United States Air Force. Ultimately, I love the field of Oral Surgery because I find professional satisfaction in alleviating pain and improving a patient’s overall oral health and self-confidence.
